Soaps a.k.a Mega Serials

I have always loved to watch romantic/family drama, mystery and comedy TV serials, be it English or Tamil. Since we got the DishNet at home, I have started watching some of the mega serials on Sun TV too. Atleast, I am trying not to sit through all of them and face the wrath of my husband :-)

During my school/college days, I used to have a few favorites - X-Files, The Wonder Years, Beverly Hills 90210, The Bold and The Beautiful, Santa Barbara and Friends. I can still remember in college, we would have a big analysis on the subject the next day! It was such a big craze!

I really don't know whether any good or bad comes out of watching these soaps, but somehow for me, it is some mindless time spent in front of the TV and is relaxing! Some of the soaps/serials are really gripping and make the viewers want to watch more!

Since coming to the US, some of my favorites include Frasier, Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond, my recent favorites being Desperate Housewives and Lost.
